It is India’s first private museum of Contemporary art, started by Lekha and Anupam Poddar. It has more than 5,000 pieces of Indian tribal, folk and modernist art while contemporary art makes up 40%. It seeks to create, a space which fosters meaningful interactions between several artists in the Asian subcontinent to enhance our understanding of a shared history.

This museum is India’s first centre for the photographic arts, created through the public – private partnership between India Photo Archive Foundation and The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram. It showcases the history of cameras, and also has a two-storied gallery where artists can display their work. On the top floor, the work of the photojournalist Kulwant Roy is displayed, showcasing rare and iconic images of Mahatma Gandhi. They also offer free postcards of the same.
