This museum has a collection of about 500 tribal and folk art and artefacts including antiques, folk paintings, jewellery, masks, terracotta objects, metal craft and bamboo items. Some of the notable artefacts are the magnificent Karma or Kadamba tree – an integral element of the Karam festival held in the rainy season – as well as the bell-metal art. The museum offers the visitors a peek into the history of customs and rituals of different tribes in Madhya Pradesh. There is also a range of original paintings and prints for sale.
