Their aim is to create awareness and sensitivity towards our rich heritage through a visitor-friendly museum for the purposes of education, study and enjoyment of the public. The museum has immense collection of Indian artefacts dating back to the Bronze age and Indian miniature paintings from the 11th century to European paintings and porcelains from China and Japan.

This is one of the oldest museums in India. It showcases the city’s cultural heritage and history through a rare collection of Fine and Decorative Arts that highlight Early Modern Art practices as well as the craftsmanship of various communities of the Bombay Presidency. The permanent collection includes miniature clay models, dioramas, maps, lithographs, photographs, and rare books that document the life of the people of Mumbai and the history of the city from the late eighteenth to early-twentieth centuries. The current collection of 19th century Indian Renaissance art showcases this flamboyant cultural era that meets its equivalent architectural spaces.

This is a private museum started by Neville Tuli, the founder of auction house Osian’s. The aim is to fuse together fine arts, popular culture, world cinema and architecture all into one at the now remodeled Minerva Theatre in Mumbai. Over the years, Tuli has added to his collection everything from samurai armour to Buddhist thangkas to Marlon Brando’s letters.
