Dr Uttam Pacharane passes away!

Renowned sculptor and former chairman of Lalit Kala Akademi, Dr. Uttam Rohidas Pacharane, passed away in the early hours of the morning at the age of 67. After a five-day-long struggle for life, he peacefully departed around 5 o’clock in the morning today.

The family has announced that Dr. Pacharane’s body will be kept at his residence in Malad East from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for the last darshan. The address for paying respects is “Sachinam” Building, Raheja Complex, Times of India Press Road, Malad East, Mumbai.

Following the last darshan, a funeral procession will leave for the final rites. Dr. Uttam Pacharane’s passing is a profound loss to the art world, and his significant contributions to sculpture and art education will be remembered by generations to come. The art community and admirers mourn the loss of a visionary artist.
