“ELEGANZ”: 31 Self-taught artists present International Group Art Exhibition at Pune

“Eleganz”, is a unique International Art Exhibition, curated by Ajay Chandak is currently going on at Raja Ravi Verma Art gallery, Ghole Road, Pune. It was inaugurated by Mr Vikram Kumar, IAS, Hon’ble Commissioner PMC along with eminent artist, Mr Milind Mulick in presence of many senior artists and delegates on 25^th May 2023. Through this exhibition Art curator Mr Ajay Chandak is bringing to Pune, 28 National and 3 International artists (One each from Singapore, Canada and Tanzania) together on a common platform.

The exhibition showcases a variety of elegant creations, including paintings, sculptures, and mixed media art works. These truly breathtaking art works are filled with emotion and beauty inspired by nature, lifestyle, landscapes, and cityscapes ranging from Realistic figurative work to Folk art, to Creative, Conceptual work to Abstract work.

Another special feature of this group exhibition is that all artists are self-taught. Despite having no formal Art education, they developed their unique styles through personal exploration and experimentation.

The Artists featured in the exhibition are Milind Mulick, Sanjay Desai, Subrata Das, Sanjeev Joshi, Samik De, Rabin Bar, Prinkle Mehta, Neelam Sethia, Pranav Shah, Vinay Joshi, Ranjeet Varma, Shabri Maheshwari, Smita Sahu, Manjunath S, Mahesh G K, Mrinal Dutt, Vaibhav Ganesh, Rashmi Ghosh, Dilip Puranik, Sonal Saxena, Mohini Nehare, Sashwati Debnath, Arti Korde, Niranjan Patgaonkar, Tushar Shetty, Mahendra Kondekar, Ranjeeta Kumar, Anagha Deshpande, Aditi Ray Datta, Sonali Gangane, and Ajay Chandak.

A striking fact is that the curator of the show Mr Ajay Chandak, is also a self-taught Artist who has held many national and international exhibitions in the past. Ajay Chandak, an Engineer from BITS, Pilani, MBA from JBIMS, Mumbai, aspires to impact the art world of Pune city leaving a footprint for generations to come.
