Indian Artist Ramalingam to Showcase Talent at Tanzania

In a significant cultural exchange, Chennai based Indian artist Ramalingam Muthukrishnan has been extended a special invitation to participate in the ‘2nd Universe Exhibition of Art by Deaf Talents’, hosted by the ‘Africa Deaf Cultural Art’ (AFDCA) in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The event is taking place from 19th to 29th November, 2023.

 

The ‘Tanzania Deaf Cultural Art’, a non-profit national organization under the Department of the Ministry of Information, Cultural, and Sports of the United Republic of Tanzania, is hosting the exhibition in collaboration with the Tanzania Deaf Art and Cultural Centre (TDACUC) and the State Department of the Ministry of Information, Cultural, and Sports.

This prestigious event aims to promote cultural diversity awareness, with Tanzania becoming the second African country to host the ‘Universe Exhibition of Art by Deaf Talents’. The theme of the exhibition reflects the importance of fostering cultural understanding through artistic expression.

Ramalingam Muthukrishnan, a seasoned painter, will represent India at this international platform. The Ministry of Information, Culture, and Sports of the United Republic of Tanzania, led by Honorable Dr. Damas Daniel Ndumbaro, expressed their support for the event during a recent visit to the exhibition site.

 

This collaboration signifies a significant step towards fostering global artistic inclusivity and understanding. The ‘Universe Exhibition of Art by Deaf Talents’ promises to be a beacon of creativity, transcending linguistic barriers and promoting cultural dialogue.
