Kashi Colours: Outdoor Art to Abstraction

Diverging from the conventional norms of outdoor art, Anand Bekwad has embarked on a journey to redefine artistic expression in natural settings. Through his ingenious vision, he has breathed life into abstract forms within the realm of outdoor art, crafting a harmonious symphony of vibrant colors, unique shapes, and captivating lines.

Anand Bekwad’s exhibition “Kashi Colours” is scheduled for inauguration on Tuesday, 29^th August 2023 at prestigious Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery, Pune. Inauguration will be done by the following dignitaries: Dr Rajendra Hiremath – Chairman, Janaseva Sahakari Bank Ltd, Pune, Mr Sudhir Kalkar – Chairman, Swanand Janakalyan Pratishthan, Mr Ravindra Deo – Artist, Chairman, Maharshi Karve Stri Shikshan Sanstha and Ms Priyamvada Pawar – Curator, Art2day.

Born in 1975, in Belgaum, Karnataka, Anand Bekwad finds his inspiration in the vibrant tapestry of nature. Currently calling Pune his home and workspace, Bekwad continues to push the boundaries of outdoor art, inviting the world to witness his ever-evolving artistic journey.

In his remarkable “Kashi” series, Bekwad has unveiled a prolific collection of 70 to 80 paintings. Earlier, he exhibited paintings from this series at Kalakruti Art Gallery and the Jehangir Art Gallery. These exhibitions featured an impressive array of 40 to 50 meticulously crafted works. Bekwad’s artistic footprint extends beyond national boundaries, with his works garnering recognition and admiration from private collectors not only within India but also across international landscapes.

The exhibition “Kashi Colours” is meant for charity purpose and organized by Swanand NGO working for Community Development through Education, Youth Development, Health & Women Empowerment.
