‘Maresia’ Exhibition Unveils Goa-Portugal Artistic Bonds

In a celebration of cross-cultural artistic connections, the Museum of Goa opened their latest show ‘Maresia’ with an exclusive preview on the evening of 25th November. Translating to “Sea breeze” in Portuguese, ‘Maresia’ explores the rich inter-cultural relationship between Goa and Portugal through a captivating array of artworks.

 

Curated by acclaimed artists Subodh Kerkar and Pradeep Naik, the exhibition showcases ‘Maresia Portugal’ by the talented Portuguese artist Ivo Moreira. The collection beautifully captures the essence of Portugal’s artistic heritage. Complementing this, ‘Maresia Goa’ features works by 15 Goan artists, offering a unique perspective on the cultural ties between the two regions.

 

The event promises a splendid journey through the shared history and influences that have shaped the artistic landscapes of Goa and Portugal. Art aficionados are urged to mark their calendars for a show filled with creativity and cultural exploration.

 

‘Maresia’ exhibition will be open to public until 15th January 2024 during 10 am and 6 pm.
