Pisurwo’s “Happy Vibrations” Opens in London
London, 10th July 2023 – London’s MP Birla Millennium art gallery, in collaboration with the Generation Art Foundation, is pleased to announce the opening of the group show titled “Happy Vibrations.” This eagerly anticipated exhibition will showcase the works of renowned artists, including Pisurwo a.k.a Jitendra Suralkar, Hetal Shukla, Ghanshyam Gupta and Ajay Kumar Chowdhary, all bringing their unique artistic expressions to the forefront.
Pisurwo, a cherished member of our Chinha family, has embarked on a remarkable journey from a small town in the Jalgaon district of Maharashtra. We proudly announce that his captivating artwork is now being exhibited in London. Pisurwo’s expertise as a street portraitist is evident in his swift and confident lines, capturing the essence of his subjects with remarkable speed and precision. However, his art goes beyond portraiture. Inspired by Ajanta, Pisurwo’s studio becomes a realm where mythological figures and celestial beings come to life on his canvases. A profusion of signs, lines, and gestures saturate his compositions, evoking a sense of cosmic storytelling. Pisurwo’s art transcends conventional boundaries, inviting viewers on a profound quest for meaning. Through his diverse body of work, he offers a gateway to a realm where reality and imagination intertwine, where the human face and cosmic symbolism converge. Pisurwo’s exhibition in London provides a privileged glimpse into his artistic evolution, inspiring us to explore the depths of our own existence.
