“consistent (in) consistency” opens at Akar Prakar

Manish Pushkale, Asian Modern & Contemporary painter and a Geologist would be holding an exhibition of his recent works titled “consistent (in) consistency” at Kolkata’s Akar Prakar, from 14 April to 20 May 2023. The preview will be held on 13 April 2023. Manish Pushkale is a self-taught artist who honed his artistic style and sensibility at Bharat Bhavan’s fertile, intellectual, creativity-filled ambience of the time.

Based out of Delhi presently, Pushkale’s work of art presents an intriguing quest demanding a new search of light that starts within himself that reclaims his true evolutionary heritage as carriers of consciousness. His work of art speaks the voice of his past space and experience which he left long back and now he is on his return migration trip with his inner eyes open to see his re-visiting space. This is his true salvation and not merely a human creed ideology.

Manish’s art journey has moved from a macro time and space context to a micro time and space context which can be deemed as a reverse migration for an artist. His work of art portrays the cultural and traditional vibrancy that are ethnic and simple yet colourful and vibrant enough to speak volumes about the rich artistic heritage. His work of art bears colourful compositions which are treated with mystical forms with an expression of an artistic identity by conveying shared community artistic values and aesthetics.

Artist Manish Pushkale, inspired by his rustic environs of hometown, surrounded by nature’s palette finds his visual vocabulary in all these rich imageries, triggering his creativity with a riot of colours. It appears that each work of art is like a documentation of his thought process and experiences that prevail in the conscious and sub-conscious mind.
