Navroz Contractor passes away

Photographer and filmmaker Navroze Contractor, 80, tragically lost his life in a bike accident on Sunday morning (18th June). Known for his love for motorcycles and documenting his journeys, Contractor was involved in a collision on Hosur Road. He was rushed to Denkanikottai Hospital in Tamil Nadu but succumbed to his injuries. Contractor, originally from Ahmedabad and residing in Bengaluru, was a renowned figure in the world of documentaries and had also made significant contributions as a cinematographer. His photography exhibitions showcased his talent, with his works being featured in renowned institutions such as the Smithsonian Museum and Tate Modern. Contractor’s passing leaves a void in the artistic community, and his contributions will be remembered and celebrated.
